The Home screen is the default screen when opening the app. Configure playback settings and select a MIDI file to play.

Playback settings

Configure how the app plays the MIDI file.

MIDI file

To select a MIDI file, click the button. This opens a file chooser dialog. Select a MIDI file and click the "Open" button. This loads the MIDI file, and the text field displays the name of the file.

To search for a file based on instruments, click the button. This opens the MIDISearch screen.

MIDI device

To select a MIDI device, click the "MIDI Device" dropdown. "Gervill" is the default MIDI device packaged with the app. Connected MIDI devices appear in the dropdown.

MIDI devices connected while the app is running won't automatically appear. Press the button to refresh the list of MIDI devices.

Soundbank

Note

Selecting a soundbank is only supported with the "Gervill" MIDI device.

To select a soundbank, click the "Soundbank" dropdown. The app comes packaged with a default soundbank. To load a soundbank from a file, press the button to open the soundbank configuration.

Play

To play the MIDI file, click the Play button.

Repeat

Click the Repeat button to enable or disable repeat mode. In repeat mode, when the MIDI file finishes, it restarts from the beginning.
